All volunteer participants at Slow Food Nations Denver 2019 release Slow Food USA and its respective affiliates, partners, directors, employees, agents, members, and contractors (collectively referred to herein as "the Released Parties") from any legal liabilities resulting from my participation at the Event, unless the liability is due to the gross negligence or willful misconduct of the Released Parties.
I understand that in attending and working at the Event, I am doing so at my own risk. I assume full responsibility for any injuries or damages that may occur to me in, on, or about the Event and its premises and fully and forever release and discharge the Released Parties from any and all claims, demands, damages, rights of action, or causes of action, resulting from or arising out of my attending and working at the Event.
furthermore represent and warrant the following to Producer:
(a) I have voluntarily applied to work at the Event. I have read this Disclaimer and understand the terms of this Agreement.
(b) I am at least 18 years of age. I am in good health and have no physical limitations or conditions that might harm me in working at the Event.
(c) In executing this Agreement, I relied wholly upon my own judgment, belief, and knowledge of the Event and potential for injury.
(d) I understand that I am not covered nor eligible for any insurance coverage provided by the Released Parties, including, but not limited to, medical, property and liability insurance, or workers compensation benefits.
This release extends and applies to all unknown, unforeseen, unanticipated, and unsuspected injuries, damages, loss, and liability, and the consequences of them, as well as those disclosed or known to exist. I expressly waive all provisions of any state, federal, or local law or statute, providing in substance that releases will not extend to claims, demands, injuries, or damages that are unknown or unsuspected to exist at the time to the person executing the release.
I represent that I will: (i) obey all local, state, and federal laws and regulations; (ii) repair or pay for any property damage caused by me; and (iii) abide by the Volunteer rules as communicated by Producer.
I understand that any credentials that I receive as part of the volunteer program are Producer's property and can be revoked at any time. I acknowledge that I am responsible for the safe-keeping and security of these credentials and I will not misuse such credentials. I furthermore understand that my participation in the Event may be terminated at any time.
This Agreement is legally binding upon me, the Volunteer, as well as my heirs, estate, assigns, legal guardians, and personal representatives.
BY SIGNING THIS DISCLAIMER, I KNOWINGLY AND VOLUNTARILY WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A TRIAL BEFORE A JURY, AND AGREE TO MANDATORY BINDING ARBITRATION OF ALL DISPUTES OR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF MY WORK OR ATTENDANCE AT EVENT.
I understand that while working at the Event, I may have access to and become acquainted with proprietary or confidential information consisting of, without limitation, (i) revenue and income amounts, (ii) operational details and other information related to the Event or any part there of, (iii) any private information about the artists performing at the Event. I agree that I will maintain the utmost confidentiality of the information, and in the event of a breach or attempted breach, Producer is expressly given the right to injunctive relief in addition to any other legal or equitable remedies that may be available to Producer.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, I acknowledge that Producer and its designees may film footage and photograph activities from the Event; accordingly I agree that Producer may use my name and likeness following the Event solely as incorporated in an incidental manner in audio visual productions and other promotional materials created by Producer or its designees concerning the Event and in connection with the exploitation, marketing and promotion of such productions, in any manner or medium now known or hereafter devised.
THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY. DO NOT SIGN THIS RELEASE IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND OR DO NOT AGREE WITH ITS TERMS.
If any provision of this Waiver is for any reason held to be invalid or unenforceable, such invalidity or un-enforceability will not affect any other provision of this Waiver, and this Waiver will be construed as if such invalid or unenforceable provision were omitted
